Position Title: Physical Therapist Aide

General Summary
Do you enjoy working with people!? PRO PT has an immediate opening for a physical therapy aide. Physical Therapy Aides helps clients during treatment sessions by greeting and interacting with clients, cleaning equipment, laundry, and exercise instruction under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
This Physical Therapist Aide position is responsible for patient care to include organization, clean-up of treatment areas, and office duties as needed under the direction of the Physical Therapist or supervisor. There is also a light housekeeping component in terms of restocking table linens, sanitizing treatment spaces, and processing laundry. While there is no license or certification required for this position, qualified candidates will typically be recent college graduates hoping to pursue graduate school and a profession in physical therapy or another medical discipline. Enthusiastic work ethic, attention to detail, strong multitasking and time management skills, and a friendly and compassionate demeanor are essential.

Physical Requirements
Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone.
Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of patients and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, including assisting patients when required. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite health care service, including injections. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. Requires exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Working Conditions: Normal working conditions absent extreme factors.
