Position Overview:
As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students. Working within a supportive school community, you will provide individual and group counseling, facilitate social-emotional skill-building activities, and collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to promote students' overall well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' social-emotional needs.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students, focusing on social skills, emotional regulation, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized intervention plans for students.
• Monitor and track students' progress, evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.
• Assist in crisis intervention and develop safety plans when necessary.
• Collaborate with community agencies and resources to provide additional support and referrals for students and families.
• Facilitate social-emotional learning activities and workshops for students, parents, and staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Advocate for students' needs and collaborate with outside agencies to coordinate services.
• Provide training and support to teachers and staff on social-emotional strategies and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited university.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker in New Hampshire (LICSW or LMSW).
• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational or related setting.
• Knowledge of social-emotional development and evidence-based interventions.
• Strong counseling and assessment skills, including experience in individual and group counseling.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
• Understanding of special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassion, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students and families.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain any required certifications.

Employment Details:

• Contract position for the 2023-2024 school year (August to June).
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, following the school calendar.
