Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Development:
- Develop comprehensive project schedules in Primavera P6 for large commercial and industrial projects, often involving thousands of detailed activity lines.
- Define and sequence project activities, milestones, and deliverables based on project scope and contract requirements.
- Schedule Management:
- Regularly update and maintain complex schedules to reflect progress and adapt to changes in project plans.
- Monitor critical path activities, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct “what-if” analyses to assess the impact of potential changes and develop mitigation strategies.
- Data Management:
- Import and export extensive data sets between Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel for analysis, reporting, and integration with other systems.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data transfers and streamline workflows to improve efficiency.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to gather schedule inputs and ensure alignment with overall project goals.
- Integrate subcontractor schedules into the master plan, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all contributors.
- Analysis and Reporting:
- Perform in-depth schedule performance analysis, including earned value management and variance analysis.
- Create detailed reports on schedule status, potential delays, and recommended actions for stakeholders.
- Present schedule updates, progress metrics, and performance insights in project meetings.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all schedules adhere to contractual requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of schedule updates, modifications, and supporting documentation.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Construction Scheduler, with demonstrated proficiency in managing schedules for large commercial or industrial projects with thousands of activity lines.
- Expertise in Primavera P6, particularly in building and managing complex, multi-tiered schedules.
- Experience in importing/exporting data between Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel for comprehensive analysis and reporting.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling methodologies, including Critical Path Method (CPM).
- Familiarity with additional project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and workflows.
- Full-time position based on project site or company office.
