Assembler/Utility and Sewers

These positions will be responsible for accurately assembling leather goods, using industrial machines, and preparing and pulling components/parts in which to sew products together. Hours are Monday - Friday with flexible hours between 6:00 am- 5:00 pm. Full time positions. Must have good hand strength. Positions are for in house production in a new HVAC controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Sewing

• Sewing both leather and nylon products
• Hand sewing
• Assemble leather components
• Braid cord, burn ends of ropes, cut leather laces, skive leather.
• Use of Hand press
• Tagging and stamping leather
• Various leather machinery used
• Keep a safe and clean work environment and optimize space utilization
• Report and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations

Assemblers/Utility

• Preparing and kitting of work orders
• Assemble leather components
• Maintain inventory of components
• Use of Hand press
• Tagging and stamping leather
• Various machinery used
• Keep a safe and clean work environment and optimize space utilization
• Report and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations

Requirements

• Good eye-hand coordination
• Good attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk and/or be on feet 40% of the workday

Compensation

• $13.00-$18.00 per hour depending on experience
