Wake Orthopaedics is a muti-specialty group with 8 locations in Wake County, NC. We are seeking a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer. The Athletic Trainer will work side by side our Physician Assistants in our Orthopaedic Urgent Care from 1pm-9pm at our Cary or North Raleigh location.
Your expertise in sports medicine and injury rehabilitation will be invaluable while working closely with patients, providing pre- and post-operative care.
Primary clinic duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assist providers in providing quality medical care.
- Meet and greet patients while escorting to exam room.
- Complete triage process and ensure all information is documented in EHR, Epic.
- Apply and remove casts as ordered by provider (Training provided).
- Fit patient with DME as ordered by provider and educate patient on use (Training provided).
- Support medical assistants as needed with patient care.
- Follow all state and federal regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
Qualifications:
Certified Athletic Trainer credential with BOC certification and state licensure
Obtain Orthopedic Technologist Certification with 12 months of hire.
