Job Title : Physical Therapist
Location : Skilled Nursing Facility / Long-Term Care (LTC) Facility
Schedule : Full-Time, 8-Hour Shifts, Monday to Friday (Weekends as Needed)
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Plan, organize, and conduct physical therapy programs to assist in the rehabilitation of mentally, physically, or emotionally challenged individuals.
Review patient medical records thoroughly before and during treatment.
Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to develop customized activity programs and coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
Administer physical therapy treatments using equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, whirlpool baths, moist packs, ultraviolet lamps, infrared lamps, ultrasound machines, E-Stim, and TENS.
Assess and measure patients' strength, motor skills, sensory perception, functional capacity, and circulatory efficiency, recording findings to revise treatment plans.
Train and supervise students, nurses, and other medical staff on therapy techniques and objectives, demonstrating clear written and verbal communication.
Select appropriate activities tailored to individual capabilities to promote independence and improve overall functionality.
Supervise assistants, aides, and students and may lead training programs on physical therapy for staff and community groups.

Requirements :
Comply with Medicare guidelines and state licensure requirements.
Complete state-approved continuing education courses as required.
Demonstrate evidence-based practices within the LTC setting.
Experience, Education, and Licensure :
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
Experience : 1 year of experience preferred.
Licensure : Must hold a current state physical therapy license.
Physical Demands :
Ability to lift from ground, waist, and overhead levels (at least 100 lbs).
Perform activities including standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
Work Environment :
Location : Facility-based, with possible outdoor exposure.
Environmental Conditions : Travel may expose you to varying weather conditions.
