Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled VMware and Atlassian Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining VMware and Atlassian environments, supporting enterprise-level systems, and ensuring system scalability, reliability, and security. This role requires expertise in system development, administration, troubleshooting, and capacity planning in a geographically distributed environment.
Clearance Required:
TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain VMware vSphere (vCenter and ESXi) in multi-site environments.
- Administer VMware Horizon VDI, supporting persistent and instant clone desktops across a dispersed enterprise.
- Create and maintain Microsoft Windows golden images.
- Manage HP thin clients using HP Device Manager (HPDM).
- Implement and troubleshoot VMware App Volumes and Unified Access Gateway.
- Perform capacity planning for enterprise systems.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable technical plans.
- Oversee the complete system development lifecycle.
- Work with PKI certificates and keys for secure operations.
- Atlassian Administration
- Manage the Atlassian suite (Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye/Crucible, Crowd, Insight/Assets).
- Ensure application health, scalability, manageability, and security using Data Center.
- Configure project workflows, security, permissions, and notifications.
- Gather and translate business requirements into Jira projects, dashboards, and automation using JavaScript.
Desired Skills:
- Basic understanding of network communications and enterprise storage technologies (NAS/NFS).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Familiarity with project management principles, including resource planning.
- Proficient in creating end-user, admin, and system documentation.
