Project Home, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and support services to those facing housing insecurities, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents have access to safe and comfortable living environments at two of our properties: a 47-unit multi-family apartment complex and a property with 23 apartments for individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS.
As our Part-Time Maintenance Technician (24 hours/week), you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, including:
- Responding promptly to resident service requests
- Conducting preventative maintenance
- Performing apartment turnovers
- Addressing emergency maintenance issues
- Maintaining the overall appearance of the properties
- Overseeing the work of contract maintenance vendors
- Ensuring resident satisfaction through excellent customer service
This position requires strong technical skills in property maintenance, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing a positive living experience for our residents.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in property maintenance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (over 60 lbs) and tolerate extreme weather
- Strong technical skills and possess hand and power tools necessary to complete work
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's license and insured vehicle required
- Basic computer skills and record-keeping abilities
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
