Description

The position of Area Manager is a highly trustworthy position responsible for assuring that all contracts are performed at the level described in the Scope of Work and the customer’s expectations. The Zone Manager works in conjunction with the Regional Operations Manager to assure that employees are adequately trained in the safest way of job procedures.

General Responsibilities

1. Co-ordinate, direct and monitor the cleaning operatives reflected in their assigned location’s scope of work and contract using provided equipment and supplies. This includes but is not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning walls and furniture.
2. Regular visits to buildings to monitor execution of scope of work.
3. Establish and implement ways to improve and meet the evolving needs of assigned sites.
4. Responsible for determining necessary staffing levels to satisfy Scope of Work while remaining within budget.
5. Plan and deliver schedules for more specific needs such as a deep clean timetable fully utilizing contract scope.
6. Recruit, retain, and train new staff based on the requirements of assigned locations and expected standard by QAC Services, LLC., while in compliance with the Health and Safety guidelines of OSHAA.
7. Conduct regulatory performance reviews to Implement appropriate performance objectives and standards for staff.
8. Handle all staff issues in a timely manner while following the appropriate chain of command.
9. Monitor assigned staff’s timekeeping practices on a daily basis to verify accuracy within payroll deadlines.
10. Ensure that all the assigned staff adheres to all time and attendance policies per the QAC Services, LLC. Handbook.
11. Effectively implement strategies for coverage due to call-offs or associate absences.
12. Request and maintain accurate inventory of all cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment for all locations with preparation for additional site assignments.
13. Oversee the servicing and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
14. Manage and seek out improved solutions for any services needs that may arise.
15. Understand the needs and build rapport with client personnel.
16. Fulfill quality control standards within provided budget threshold.
17. Appropriately use provided equipment (laptop, cell phone and/or tablets) to effectively communicate with staff and leadership.
18. Follow security procedures regarding keys, badges, etc.
19. Develop and communicate a working knowledge of building maintenance; including restroom sanitation, office cleaning, carpet care, hard floor care, equipment operation and maintenance, chemical knowledge, MSDS, and safety.
20. Attend all scheduled training sessions conducted by leadership.
21. Compose legible written reports, quality control inspections, employee evaluations, inventory reports and other forms as needed.
22. Expertise in communicating complex tasks in a simple format to front line workers and supervisors.
23. Participate in weekly calls with leadership.
24. Substitute the Site Supervisor as needed.
