Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a CNC Programmer to join their team. As a CNC Programmer, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process by translating engineering designs into executable code for CNC machines. You will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and implementing CNC programs to produce high-quality parts efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using industry-standard software (e.g., CAM software) to control machine tools.
- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements and tolerances.
- Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, routers) to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Select appropriate cutting tools and fixtures to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- Conduct quality checks on machined parts to verify conformance to specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions and programming errors to minimize downtime.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
- Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- In-depth understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Considerations:
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical) may be preferred.
- Relevant CNC programming certifications may be advantageous.
