The Provo Peaks Ice Arena is looking for a responsible, diligent worker to fill the role of part-time hockey instructor to teach and coach at the arena. Qualified, civic-minded individuals are encouraged to apply.

What is the compensation?
Pay Rate: $10.50 per hour depending upon level of skill and experience. (Payment will be by direct deposit.)

What will I do?
- Instruct participants ages four to adult in ice hockey from the beginning to intermediate level.
- Assist Recreation staff members and perform other related duties as required.
What do I need to apply?
- Sufficient amount of related skill and/or experience which would demonstrate an ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Preference given to candidates who have previously instructed or have ice skating experience.
What are the hours?
Some Weekdays, Evenings, and Saturday shift. Actual hours to be discussed by hiring manager.

This work requires physical strength and agility to perform the work, including, standing and/or ice skating during instruction and minor bending; the ability to work outside in the cold and other weather conditions; and work with the public in possibly stressful situations.
What is the selection process?
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on December 31, 2024. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
