The CORE Clinical Director provides supervision services utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to staff working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a clinic based, early childhood setting. The BCBA is responsible for completing a range of client assessments and supervising the performance and development of Behavioral Consultants. The CORE Clinical Director reports to the CORE Administrative Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and supervises Behavior Consultants in implementing designed ABA programs (Group Early Start Denver Model) by providing (at a minimum) bi-weekly case consultation and observation; document all consultation encounters.
  • Regularly conduct fidelity checks on the clinical treatment model and provide necessary feedback and trainings to ensure fidelity is met and maintained.
  • Complete Functional Behavior Assessments and Skills Assessments for assigned clients.
  • Design, Develop, and Implement Positive Behavior Support Plans when necessary for assigned clients.
  • Complete Preference Assessments and Reinforcement Assessments as necessary for assigned clients.
  • Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with all team members.
  • Ensure Behavior Consultants are using appropriate behavioral data collection systems such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals.
  • Conduct training on a variety of applicable topics, including FBAs, skill acquisition assessments, program development, ABA interventions, treatment planning, graphing, etc.
  • Attend interagency meetings to coordinate design of treatment plans and service recommendations.
  • Creating and managing schedules based on treatment room needs.
  • Complete all required documentation in a thorough, accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with PHMC/CFA’s policies and procedures including confidentiality and mandated reporting.
  • Develop and execute clinical policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, training programs, and supervision as required by PHMC/CFA and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Assist Director and Assistant Director of CORE CFA in managing the day-to-day operations of all CORE services. Respond to participate in administrative meetings, supervision, management meetings, and leadership trainings as needed.
  • Responsible to provide supervisory and clinical consultative guidance to the CFA program leadership for clients receiving services as needed.
  • Responsible to clinically oversee and supervise practicum students who work within the CORE program when current supervisory caseload permits.
  • Attends ISPT meetings and conduct Functional Assessment Interviews with caregivers and potential clients to

o Provide clinical input for appropriateness of the CORE Program

o Support Clinical Leads and Team Leads in preparing for clinical concerns prior to each ISPT

  • Participate in the performance management process including delivery of feedback and corrective actions.
  • Supervise and train Registered Behavior Technicians, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst Candidates as caseload permits.
  • Maintain supervision contacts with assigned staff (up to 12) in accordance with IBHS-ABA guidelines
  • Responsible to contribute to the development and attainment of program specific goals and objectives
  • Responsible to establish, maintain and report on statistical information and/or performance improvement related measures for the CORE program
  • Responsible to participate in the development and oversight of program development and strategic growth within the CORE program

  • Promotes objectives by providing cooperative, courteous service to clients, family members, visitors, and stakeholders
  • Interacts professionally with ethnically/culturally/spiritually different people in a sensitive and respectful manner

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cooperate and communicate as a multi-discipline staff team member through formal meetings, informal consultations and interdisciplinary team meeting participation.

  • Demonstrate use and support of the trauma informed model in all aspects of employment, including interactions with clients, family members, other employees, community members, and stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly to the concerns and interests of the clients, parents, guardians, funding entities and other PHMC/CFA staff.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and utilization of trauma informed practices, including emotional intelligence, effective communication, understanding of impact of trauma on development, strengths based and person-centered practice, resilience focus and commitment to growth and change.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIRMENTS:

  • At least two years verified post-master’s experience providing applied behavioral analysis and assessment with children and families with intellectual disabilities, mental health disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Have current certification as a BCBA in good standing with the BACB.
  • Familiarity with Early Start Denver Model (preferred)
  • Must have strong applied behavior analysis skills.
  • Experience writing Positive Behavior support plans and conducting FBAs
  • Strong skills in data collection
  • Ability to utilize collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge and understanding of CASSP Principles.
  • Understanding of child and family development.
  • Crisis intervention and management.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Ability to be adaptable, flexible and change activities quickly.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


EDUCATION REQUIRMENT:

  • A licensed mental health clinician, including psychiatrist, psychologists, licensed professional counselors (LPC), and licensed clinical social workers (LCSW). If not licensed as defined above, must hold Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline, such as Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Creative Arts Therapy, and Marriage and Family Therapy. In order for a degree to count as a mental health degree, the degree must contain as least (12) credit hours in core behavioral health coursework.
  • Valid Child Abuse (Act 33), Criminal History, FBI and medical clearances.
  • Participation in and completion of all CBH mandatory in-services (must be completed within three (3) months of hire and then annually from the date of the initial training).
