Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Oversee assigned Distribution Center operations to ensure efficiency.Manage daily operations to maintain high-quality service to all customers.Ensure employee compliance with all relevant company policies and standards.Recruit, train, and manage staff effectively.Facilitate comprehensive training for all distribution service roles.Conduct performance evaluations for all distribution employees regularly.Organize safety training and compliance for distribution staff.Review financial documents related to carrier compensation and payroll.Identify and solve operational issues proactively.Support prioritization of tasks in crisis situations affecting service.Evaluate staff performance for continuous improvement.Resolve client issues regarding subscription complaints to their satisfaction.Analyze and enhance service delivery problem areas effectively.Conduct ongoing cost analysis of Distribution Center operations.Manage contracts with Independent Contract Carriers and assure proper documentation.Use your vehicle to verify deliveries of newspapers and additional products.Other Functions
Assist in training other managerial staff.Possess a solid understanding of computers and software.Know the geography and demographics within your assigned area.Essential Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.Thorough knowledge of Independent Contractor Services Agreements.Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.The ability to mult-task efficiently and manage priorities.Experience with SAP is regarded favorably.Required Physical Abilities
Ability to lift and carry 30-50 lbs of newspapers regularly.Focus on exceeding established customer service objectives.Possess a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license with required insurance.Working Environment
Willingness to work nights and early mornings.Comfort with a warehouse-type setting is necessary.Experience, Education, and Certifications Required
