Responsibilities
- Act as the secondary point of contact for key decision-makers at strategic accounts, fostering cross-functional relationships.
- Assist in integrating new clients and developing existing client relationships, collaborating with the Director of Strategic Accounts.
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of services according to customer needs and objectives.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, customer follow-up, and internal communication.
- Generate and deliver reporting for accounts and the Director of Strategic Accounts.
- Proactively anticipate and address upcoming needs of strategic accounts, coordinating with internal resources.
- Utilize CRM to plan customer conversations, enter insights gained from meetings, and identify next steps.
- Maintain accurate records and categorization of companies and customers in CRM.
- Coordinate with marketing to create necessary special marketing materials.
- Develop detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for actively selling strategic accounts.
- Analyze and interpret RFP requirements to ensure a clear understanding of client needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, sales teams, and other departments to gather necessary information for proposal development.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals that effectively communicate our company’s capabilities, solutions, and value proposition.
- Ensure proposals are tailored to the specific requirements of each RFP and address all key points outlined in the request.
- Manage multiple RFP projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
- Maintain a library of reusable content, including boilerplate language, case studies, and project descriptions, to improve efficiency and consistency in proposal development.
- Proofread and edit proposals for grammar, spelling, and formatting errors.
- Continuously improve the RFP response process by identifying areas of improvement and implementing best practices.
- Organize and maintain vendor registrations for Purple Wave.

- High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of sales experience.
- Knowledge of fleet, heavy agriculture, and construction equipment.
- Proficiency in using various software and computer applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Candidates may be requested to complete skills assessment testing.
- Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
- Requires the ability to successfully complete a background check.
- Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime.
- Office hours are 8 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday, additional hours may be required depending on priorities.
- Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
- Competitive annual salary between $70,000 and $80,000, paid bi-weekly.
- Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and is paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula. (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).
- This position includes company-provided cell phone and computer equipment.
- Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
- 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment.
- Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
- Personal Time Off (PTO) is an annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year. May vary to comply with state requirements.
- Eligible to participate in the Company Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) after 90 days of employment, with enrollment opportunities each May and November.
