Caregivers are a keystone of our business, providing much needed service to patients and their families struggling to keep their independence on a daily basis. Our Caregivers possess the virtues of compassion, care, dependability, professionalism, honesty, flexibility, problem solving, a positive attitude and love. Our Caregivers provide a wide range of services. They also may work a variety of shifts.

*We are currently seeking a Home Caregiver for field work in the Kern County area!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a CA Driver's License with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements and is in good working order
  • Physical Examination (within the last 1 year)
  • PPD Test (within the last year) or Chest X-Ray (within the last 2 years)
  • CPR/BLS Certificate (preferred)

Home Caregiver Job Expectations and Procedural Responsibilities:

  • Ensure clients receive their medication on time
  • Support clients who can’t move on their own
  • Help clients dress, bathe, eat etc.
  • Assist clients with physical therapy exercises
  • Cook meals according to the customer’s restrictions
  • Help customers with their shopping
  • Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
  • Provide emotional support
  • Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Help to shop and buy groceries
  • Prepare meals, light housekeeping, laundry
  • Help with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, medication reminders
  • Aid with transferring the recipient in and out of bed
  • Assist with physical therapy and exercise
  • Arrange the medical appointment and transportation to the doctor or clinic
  • Order and pick up medications at the pharmacy
  • Meal preparation
  • Personal care, toileting assistance, and bathing
  • Discuss the care plan and needs with care managers
  • Help with fall prevention
