High Focus Centers in Parsippany is a premier provider of outpatient treatment programs for mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Our highly trained staff create individualized, comprehensive and robust treatment plans designed to meet each client’s treatment goals. At High Focus Centers in Parsippany we are currently seeking a Counselor Assistant to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals in facilitating group therapy sessions for adolescent and adult services. Hourly Rate: $22 - $25/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists individuals in developing and solidifying long-term recovery supports, and providing services before, during, and following an individual’s engagement in the treatment continuum.
- Provides opportunities for individuals to direct their own recovery plan and supports, build self-worth, wellness, empowerment, and self-advocacy.
- Performs group therapy sessions under the direction of the treatment supervisor including preparing materials for sessions.
- Manages client files.
- Communicates with referral sources and company representatives.
- Will utilize Evidence based practice
- Participates in community meetings with clients.
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field required
