Job Type: Contact - 6month (likely to extend)
Work Mode: Hybrid 3 days remote 2 days on-site (Wed & Fri)
Job Description: The role requires understanding business objectives and problems, identifying alternative solutions, performing studies, and conducting cost/benefit analyses. The position involves analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processes or improve existing computer systems. The individual will collaborate with personnel from various organizational units to analyze current operational procedures, identify issues, and determine specific input/output requirements such as forms of data input, data summarization, and report formats. The role also includes writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Furthermore, the individual will review system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested programs or changes can be accommodated within the existing system.
Responsibilities:
This development effort will utilize an agile methodology, based on the approach currently in use at the client's integrated eligibility redesign system. As a member of the agile development team, responsibilities may include:
• Data acquisition from a variety of data sources for multiple uses.
• Developing complex SQL scripts to transform source data into a dimensional model and create views and materialized views in Oracle.
• Developing automation with Informatica IICS or Power Center to pull data from external sources and transform it into a dimensional model.
• Collaborating with the Data Engineering Team on optimal data design.
• Verification and validation of SQL scripts, Informatica automation, and database views.
• Developing automated means of verification and validation.
• Participating in all sprint ceremonies.
• Working closely with Architects and Data Engineering Team on implementation designs and data acquisition strategies.
• Enhancing and maintaining the Java web site that provides Tableau dashboards to users with various roles.
• Developing mock-ups and collaborating with customers for validation.
• Assisting with the implementation and configuration of developmental tools.
• Producing and maintaining technical specifications, diagrams, or other documentation as needed for DD&I efforts.
• Participation in requirements and design sessions.
• Interpreting new and changing business requirements to propose necessary enhancements.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
Candidates must have ALL skills clearly outlined on their resume in order to be considered.
• 8 Years Required: Experience developing mappings and workflows to automate ETL processes using Informatica IICS, IDMC, or Power Center.
• 8 Years Required: Experience acquiring and integrating data from multiple data sources/technologies using Informatica for use by a Tableau data visualization object (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, Adobe PDF).
• 8 Years Required: Experience designing and developing complex SQL scripts that are fast and efficient.
• 8 Years Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience as a system analyst for a data analytics, performance management system, or data warehousing project.
