Summary
• Act as master aboard one of our charter fleet boats in the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding waters. Day to day responsibilities include passenger safety, maintenance, cleaning and crewing our vessels on their various trips in and around the Gulf of Mexico. Excellent communication skills and teamwork a must.
Responsibilities
• Maintains boat staff by orienting and training crew.
• Accomplishes crew results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures operation of ship by completing pre-voyage inspections, completing preventive maintenance requirements, arranging for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Maintains supplies inventory by anticipating requirements, checking stocks, placing and expediting orders, loading, and verifying receipt.
• Maintains safe and healthy environment by conducting drills, enforcing line standards and maritime regulations, and directing emergency and rescue operations.
• Maintains ship's log by documenting required information.
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by maintaining license, attending educational workshops, and reviewing professional publications.
