Quality Inn and Suites Mansfield PA is Hiring a Hotel Night Auditor Full-time/Part-time Near Grover, PA

Hotel Night Auditor

Must be Guest Service oriented and experience preferred. Will train right candidate.

Examines and analyzes accounting records to determine financial status of hotel and prepares nightly reports. Acts as Manager on Duty. This is the 11:00 pm to 7:00 am shift. Requires weekends and holidays. Immediate hire.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Thorough knowledge of front desk procedures, rates, and any special programs or discounts. (See Front Desk Job Description.)
  • Balance daily activities of Front Office and F&B (where applicable) operations.
  • Audits items PMS to determine if accepted accounting procedure was followed in recording transactions.
  • Maintains adherence to all company accounting policies and procedures. Ensures staff is utilizing cash and asset control during assigned shifts.
  • Verifies journal and ledger entries of cash and check payments, purchases, expenses, and trial balances by examining and authenticating inventory items.
  • Prepares reports for management concerning scope of audit, financial conditions found, and source and application of funds.
  • Calculates average daily rate, rooms occupied and revenue collected.
  • Makes recommendations regarding improving operations and financial position of company.
  • Knows all emergency procedures for hotel and guest safety.
  • Acting as the Manager on Duty (MOD) during hours when no MOD is available.
  • Complete knowledge of hotel operating policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to Corporate Accountants.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
