Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at a highly rated surgery center in Waltham, MA. The ideal candidate will assist in surgical operations, ensuring all equipment is prepared and patients are cared for before, during, and after surgery.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- No Nights, No Weekends
- 4x10s or 5x8s
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and ready for use
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with data collection as needed
- Provide post-operative care to patients, including wound dressing and monitoring recovery
- Maintain a clean and organized surgical area before, during, and after procedures
Skills:
- Experience in surgery center setting, ortho is a plus
- Familiarity with scopes, shoulder and total joint replacements a PLUS
- Familiarity with working in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient surgery center
- Ability to collect and record patient data accurately
- Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring techniques
Requirements:
- Must have a valid and current Certification in Surgical Technology
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program required
- BLS certification
