CNC Machinist – Programmer
Job Overview:
Quality Tool is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to program, set-up and operate a variety of VMC’s, HMC’s and Lathes. This is a full-time, skilled position and will be on 1st shift in our Brookings, SD location. Responsibilities
· Set up, adjust and operate machine tools to include Haas, Makino, Miyano, Nakamura, and others, determining speeds & feeds with the ability to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments & accessories
· Sequence automatic machine operations and define setup requirements, select cutting tools, and program proper feeds and speeds to successfully machine parts.
· Identify optimal manufacturing processes based on part configuration and batch size
· Inspect work, making necessary notations on work routers.
· The nature of the work is a mix of small to medium quantity runs with frequent set-ups.
Desired Qualifications
· Four years minimum CNC Machining Set-up and Programming experience.
· Create CNC programs using GibbsCAM and/or DP Esprit software.
· Design required fixtures.
· Engineer the process for CNC machining.
· Proficient in editing programs and adjusting offsets.
· Experience inspecting your own parts using various dimensional tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Gages.
· Familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
· Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment, programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment.
· Good attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime as needed.
· Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
· Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
