Cabinet Maker / Cabinet Installer

Mission:

Southern Pride Custom Cabinets is seeking a skilled Cabinet Production Specialist - Installer for its cabinet shop in Madison, AL.

Get out of the winter cold and summer heat and come to work in a climate controlled shop! Our custom cabinet shop is heated and air-conditioned!!!

Responsibilities:

• Ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment where cross training is encouraged and desired
• Job entails operation of woodworking, finishing machinery, various lacquer /paint products and commitment to following safe operation practices
• Applicant must have experience operating or be willing to learn how to operate some of the tools listed, but not necessarily all the tools listed: Includes operation of power saws, routers, pneumatic fasteners, power drills, sanders, finish spraying equipment, operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment and other tools used in woodworking and cabinetry making
• Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices is required
• Job entails assembly, delivery and installation of cabinets as required
• Performs other minor duties as assigned and related to position and team goals
  
  

Requirements:

• HSD or GED equivalent; AS degree and/or certification(s) are a plus
• Experience in woodworking, cabinet building required; cabinet installation experience a plus and highly desired
• Ability to operate state of the art computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment, experience a plus
• Must be able to read prints and shop drawings
• Dependability and attention to detail and follow through is crucial
• Must be able to lift (above 70lbs), bend and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Must provide own transportation and valid driver's license
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and have clean background record
• Full time position ( typically Mon-Thu from 5:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with Fridays off based on business demand) , with competitive optional benefits; pay is commensurate with experience
• Note: May consider seasonal, contract, Co-op work considered based on experience and need of company at time.
