Works under general direction and is competent to handle complex customer transactions; lead & motivate a team in a positive, professional and productive manner; reports to the Branch Manager; supervise & coordinate work activity of tellers; perform Teller duties; designate duties & work schedule; provide training & guidance to existing or new tellers; perform teller audits, verifies money, manages cash levels and complete record keeping duties; approves checks for payment; records & collects returned items in a timely manner; assist tellers with balancing daily transactions & cash drawers as needed; manages and keeps record of vault currency & coins; monitor & review security procedures & control access to vault; communicate & ensure teller compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; assist with employee performance appraisals & corrective action; performs other duties as needed.
- Represents the Bank in a courteous and professional manner

- Adjusts customers’ records as appropriate
- Assists tellers in balancing daily transactions and cash drawers when necessary
- Ensures supply of money based on legal requirements and business demand
- Counts and records currency and coin in vault
- Monitors and reviews security procedures and controls access to vault
- Communicates and implements policies and procedures updates or changes as required
- Ensures teller compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of tellers
- Conducts or assists with employee performance appraisals and corrective action
- Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates as needed
- Performs all teller functions (see job description for teller)
- Sets the example and coaches tellers on providing STAR quality customer service
- Performs other duties as assigned
