We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator to join our warehouse team. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for efficiently and safely operating various equipment to facilitate the smooth and organized movement of materials and products within the warehouse. Key Responsibilities
- Unload Materials and Merchandise
- Receive incoming shipments and unload materials and merchandise from vehicles.
- Safely transport items to their designated locations within the warehouse.
- Stock Handling
- Locate and move stock of products and materials to staging areas for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify any damages, report shortages, or quality deficiencies to the relevant personnel.
- Material Transport
- Transport products and materials to production workstations as required, facilitating the production process.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Inspect machinery and equipment regularly to determine the need for repairs or maintenance.
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment and report any safety concerns promptly.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory movements and activity logs using scanning equipment.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits as necessary.
- Teamwork and Training
- Actively participate in cross-department training to ensure a well-rounded skillset.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve optimum performance and efficiency in warehouse operations.
- Ad Hoc Duties
- Be willing to perform any other duties required to support business operations and facilities maintenance as assigned by Management, whether on a temporary or permanent basis.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
