Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Mechanical Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The Pipefitter will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure that all piping systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Install and assemble piping systems according to specifications and blueprints.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as Stick welding and FCAW.
- Conduct repairs on existing piping systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues within the piping infrastructure.
- Rig and build support structures for pipes as needed.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians to integrate piping systems with heating and cooling units.
- Solder pipes and fittings to create secure connections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
- Experience in welding techniques including Stick welding and FCAW is preferred.
- Ability to assemble and install various types of pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus, enhancing the ability to work on integrated projects.
