Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Test Technician to join our team. Duties
- Perform venipuncture and other blood collection techniques, including phlebotomizing and spinal taps.
- Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records of tests performed, including results and observations.
- Utilize veterinary terminology when applicable to ensure clear communication within the team.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper laboratory management and adherence to protocols.
- Provide basic life support as needed during testing procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in the accurate execution of tests.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proficiency in medical terminology, with a strong understanding of anatomy.
- Experience with venipuncture techniques; certification in phlebotomy is preferred.
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures is a plus.
- Ability to perform spinal taps safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology is an advantage for specific testing scenarios.
- Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
