What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) position at Quincy Healthcare and Senior Living?

We are currently looking for an Assitant Director of Nursing. Position requires Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to promote and restore residents’ health. You will work with a variety of residents, and you will provide direct nursing care along with management duties, supervising on our floor staff.
Quality Nurse Duties:
As directed and counseled by the DON:
· Supervise and direct the care provided to the residents, with a focus on attaining clinical outcomes established by the physician and in the care plan
· Communicates with physicians and families any time there is a significant change in the resident’s condition
· Monitoring patient care by reviewing start of care and resumption of care documentation
· Assessing patient clinical outcomes
· Analyzing the processes and procedures used in patient care, and ensuring all patients receive care based on these standards
· Ensures quality by rounding, checking, entering, or correcting nursing records/nurse instructions in the EMR SigmaCare and studying the impact of the improved metrics
· Implements quality assurance and performance improvement programs by reporting issues to the Administrator and DON, and then carrying out the plans for correcting such issues by coaching staff
· Oversees his/her assigned program of wounds, falls, Care Plans/Assessments or Psychotropics/GDRs
· Enters orders and reconciles the previous days’ orders
· Will act in accordance with established policies and procedures, current rules and regulations, and current standards of nursing practice and cares
**Will be a part of an on-call rotation and expected to fill in on the floor as needed.**

Pay: $68,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
