R.F. Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in Buffalo Grove, IL.
Who we are:
For over 35 years, R.F. Technologies, Inc. has been one of the largest independent retailers of wireless drive-thru, surveillance, and audio equipment within the United States. With multiple strategically located service centers, RFT supports the QSR Industry (Quick Service Restaurants, i.e. McDonald's, Burger King, etc.) with installation, break-fix, and other field related services. We are experiencing massive growth within our business and are in need of a Field Service Technician to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and servicing wireless headset communication systems, timing systems, surveillance systems, Digital Menu Boards, Kiosks and music systems for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair wireless headset communication systems, timing systems, surveillance systems, Digital Menu Boards, Kiosks and music systems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Respond to service requests and troubleshoot issues in the field.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical support as needed.
- Test and verify the proper functioning of installed systems.
- Provide training to clients on the use of the systems.
- Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of installed systems.
- Stay up-to-date with new products, services, and technologies in the field.
- Perform in shop repairs on wireless communications equipment
- Provide troubleshooting for support while in shop
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certification in electronics or a related field is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience/knowledge in telecommunications or low voltage (preferred, not required)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Clean driving record and a background check is necessary
