Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy mid-level IT Repair Technician to join our Repair/Refurb Center. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, logging warranties, and repairing IT hardware utilized in retail businesses. The ideal candidate will possess a natural aptitude for problem-solving, a keen interest in technology, and a readiness for hands-on, in-person training and work. You will be responsible for maintaining various hardware components, including, but not limited to, POS systems, handheld devices, terminals, scanners, servers, printers, cash drawers, and security components, in a fast-paced environment that requires meticulous attention to detail and a professional demeanor. The ideal candidate will also be able to perform technical and administrative work in supporting and maintaining the hardware and related devices for our Clients. Work involves maintenance and support of all computers (servers, desktops, cash registers and laptops), databases, networked and standalone printers, label printers, scanning equipment and all other IT equipment.
Primary Duties Include:
LEVEL I, II, III
- Ensure customer hardware or software meets specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with servers, desktops, cash registers, laptops, tablets, POS systems, and other IT related hardware.
- Adhere to customer contracts for warranty, third-party, or internal repairs.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and parts according to contracts.
- Maintain accurate inventory and repair records as per company and customer expectations.
- Communicate effectively with the Supervisor regarding customer equipment and needs.
- Adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) needs and requirements.
- Follow safety guidelines for the facility.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the repair area.
- Assisting in the movement, sorting and loading/unloading of goods up to 50 lbs either by hand or pallet jack.
- Packaging and labelling products
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Carrying out other duties as instructed
- The knowledge to write and/or modify SOPs
- The ability to train members of the team on the processes
- The knowledge to be an escalation point for the internal members of the team.
