Job Summary
The General dental Clinical Team Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical operations within our general practice. This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills and a comprehensive background in dental assisting, particularly in general dentistry. The ideal candidate will ensure that the clinical team operates efficiently while providing exceptional patient care. This role involves collaborating closely with dentist and other dental professionals to deliver high-quality treatment and maintain a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the clinical team, ensuring adherence to best practices in general dental care.
- Assist dentist during procedures, providing chairside support and ensuring patient comfort.
- Oversee the scheduling of appointments, ensuring optimal patient flow and minimal wait times.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Conduct X-rays and utilize 3D scanning technology as part of the diagnostic process.
- Train and mentor new staff members on clinical procedures, office protocols, and patient interaction techniques.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Collaborate with other dental specialties such as orthodontic dentistry, and general dentistry to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with a strong preference for experience in general dentistry.
- Familiarity with Denticon software for managing patient records and scheduling.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
- Proficiency in performing X-rays and using 3D scanners for general/implant assessments.
- Strong understanding of Ortho dentistry principles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
