Radio Systems Corporation is seeking a qualified, highly enthusiastic Regulatory Compliance Specialist for the Corporate office in Knoxville TN! This role will be responsible and accountable for support in ensuring Radio Systems products are compatible and compliant to environmental and other regulatory requirements throughout their complete life cycle, by coordinating testing for regulatory compliance and product safety test requirements.

What you will do

  • Coordinate required safety and regulatory testing between internal and external teams on new and recertified products
  • Assist with the maintenance of regulatory documents, including monitoring for expiration dates and required updates
  • Review results of product safety and regulatory agency testing and determine whether products met regulatory and safety requirements
  • Acquire and maintain up to date SDS sheets where needed and as required by Federal regulations and Supply SDS or other HazMat information to Vendors or other outside sources as appropriate.
  • Participate in DFMEA, leading reviews related to product safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Work with Trade Compliance to ensure hazardous material products are received, documented, stored, shipped and disposed of in accordance with International, Federal, State and local hazardous materials regulations.
  • Prepare and send products out for testing as required by retail partners or regulatory agencies
  • Review product collateral submissions to appropriate regulatory and safety standards
  • Reviewing packaging claims and safety messaging for all products
  • Other projects as needed

Requirements

  • Two-year college degree 
  • Two years of experience in a product regulatory compliance support role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and Adobe.

Accountabilities:

  • Successful coordination and on time completion of assigned testing projects with outside labs
  • Coordination of the timely completion of required compliance audits
  • Timely responses and review of documents, packaging and labels.

Relationships:

  • Reports to Director of Quality
  • Works with category and product managers, engineers, supply chain, risk management, quality and customer care.
  • Works with outside labs as required
