As a Surface Grinder at RAM Precision Industries, your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain surface grinding machines to produce high-quality precision parts. You will be responsible for setting up and adjusting grinding machines to achieve desired specifications, including dimension, finish, and tolerance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate surface grinding machines according to work instructions and blueprints
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on grinding machines
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Monitor machine operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surface Grinder in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
