Lab Assistant

Duration: 1 year contract

Location: Onsite in Bohemia, NY

Max Pay: $27.80/hr

Shift:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm

Required:

• Apprenticeship programs or Bachelor's degree or equivalent (microbiology, chemistry, food technology or other related fields)

Summary

The Lab assistance provides support to the R&D Sr Scientists by preparing samples for external testing, submitting samples to the labs, uploading results and preparing documentations, collect information to support risk assessment.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, restorability and process according to the quality system in place, instructions and tools which are directly related to sample management
• Weight samples (ingredients and finished product) and submission to external Laboratories.
• Creation of Analytical request
• Upload and organize results
• Organize and manage stability samples according to the protocols.
• Timely reporting of consolidated results and trends to the functions concerned
• Reporting of abnormalities via notification and take immediate corrections

Academic Experience:

• Apprenticeship programs or Bachelor's degree or equivalent (microbiology, chemistry, food technology or other related fields)

Operational Experience:

• Previous experience in another laboratory or analytical environment is an asset
