We are currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple application development and maintenance projects as part of an ongoing contract in Silver Spring, MD. This is a full-time, remote role AFTER TRAINING.
Please note: Due to the secure nature of this government agency, all candidates must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident and be eligible for a public trust clearance.
The successful candidate will receive a contingent offer based on the outcome of a government background check. This may take several weeks, and the candidate cannot begin actual employment until the background check is successfully completed.
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and budget. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage teams and resources effectively.
Primary Duties:
- Manage multiple application development and maintenance projects simultaneously.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and cost estimates, and manage budgets.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders and document project requirements.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations.
- Communicate project status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders and federal IT managers.
- Oversee creation and review of project documentation, including design and user guides.
- Manage contractor resources and monitor timekeeping reports.
- Collaborate with NMFS and OSF staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct weekly project management meetings and provide updates on project progress.
Qualifications Include:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in project management, including IT-related projects.
- Proven track record of managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Certifications/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Program Management, Information Technology, or related fields.
- PMP or Agile Certifications are highly preferred.
