The primary responsibility of a Sales Manager is to lead the sales department by meeting or exceeding sales revenue and budgetary objectives, and to be a key influencer in creating a positive organizational culture. The role involves strategic planning, managing the Design Consultants (DC’s) and maintaining strong relationships with strategic partners, leveraging technology, and improving processes. The Sales Manager is a key member of the senior management team who will travel to both Lancaster and West Chester to recruit, hire, train, and mentor their direct reports and assist in identifying opportunities to improve the working environment for all employees.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures directly relating to the sales objectives
- Recruit, hire and train new DC’s as needed to reach annual goals
- Provide ongoing coaching of the sales process and shadowing with Design Consultants
- Provide DC’s mentorship on overcoming objections and positioning techniques
- Establish, track, and report KPI’s at the regional, local and individual levels
- Provide executive-level decisions on daily activities of their direct reports
- Meet or exceed sales goals pre-determined in the annual budget
- Partner with Marketing Department to develop lead generation programs, revenue generation programs, and high performing sales collateral
- Assist DC’s with complex sales negotiations
- Assist Production with handling customer complaints and contract negotiations
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results
- Assist in coordinating regional employee events
- Oversee the planning and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs
- Work with Leadership team and Owners to develop annual business plans
- Promote positive relations with referral partners, vendors, and distributors

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
1) Five years experience in a leadership role and at least three years of experience in a sales leadership role
2) Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate sales teams will be needed.
3) Previous experience in construction is a plus
4) Must demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, and have a strong desire to make a difference in a growing company and have fun along the way.
5) A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
