At Reaching Beyond Limits, Inc., our job coaches help individuals improve job skills and achieve career goals. They develop coaching plans, assist with goal setting, teach practical job tasks, and support people with disabilities.
Strong communication and organizational skills and experience in employment planning are essential. We want to hire people with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem-solving and time-management skills, and prior experience working with people with disabilities. Having an upbeat, motivational attitude is a must!
Essential Job Duties:
- Assess the professional strengths and weaknesses of an individual while on the job.
- Develop effective job coaching and employment plans by implementing strategies with each individual on your caseload.
- Discover what motivates individuals and assist them in utilizing that motivation in the workplace.
- Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions
- Assist individuals in learning and excelling in their job functions.
- Plan and implement tools for individuals to succeed at work.
- Create and update records and reports on progress.
- Guide clients in learning to complete job tasks
- Help in the development of motivation and skills
- Provide coaching in effective job search techniques
- Assist people with disabilities in developing social and life skills
- Advise on workplace accommodations for people with disabilities
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of clients
Requirements:
High School Diploma required
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services is strongly suggested
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with Disabilities.
Valid driver's license, reliable, safe transportation, and automobile insurance.
