Real Alloy is Hiring a Quality Engineer Near Beachwood, OH

Overview

Responsibilities

Located at our Real Alloy Corporate Headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio, as our new Quality Engineer, you will support the ongoing development and implementation of the ISO9001 Quality Management System to ensure customer requirements are met including manufacture of the highest quality products. You will also promote best operating practices, engage in operational improvement projects, and assist with customer concerns.

Core Accountabilities for this role include:

  • Assisting with ISO9001 audit preparation and the management of audit records.
  • Assisting in spectrometer excellence: procedure, data, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring management of change processes are followed.
  • Monitoring, participating, and facilitating teams for continuous improvement, product development, process VDA FMEA development, control plan development, supplier programs, etc.
  • Ensuring implementation, validation, and verification of robust corrective actions.
  • Leading the creation of new procedures based on current processes. Recommending updates as required.
  • Leading implementation of critical procedures and facilitating personnel training.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing quality improvement programs for facilities.
  • Audit/Monitor plant document control functions to ensure latest revision.
  • Co-manage maintenance of customer specification records and Oracle input.
  • Coordinating and monitoring quality control activities to ensure that products comply with defined specifications and standards.

Expected Travel 20% - 30%

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree required in a business, technical, science, or engineering discipline; material sciences or chemistry preferred.
  • Familiarity with spectrometers and chemical testing preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 - 3 years previous experience in working in a quality related field. This may include quality systems (IATF16949, ISO9000, etc.), quality control, six sigma, and testing labs.
  • Must have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Minitab skills preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal including the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives.
  • Practical audit and statistical analysis skills.
  • A good working knowledge of problem-solving skills such as: 5 why analysis, brain storming, fishbone diagrams, control charts, histograms, process analysis, flow charting, FMEA, etc.
