Position: Business Development Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to drive significant growth and lead our business development by building relationships and securing new clients for our real estate project and program management consulting services.

What You’ll Do:
- Client Acquisition: Identify target accounts, build rapport with key contacts, qualify opportunities, and secure profitable engagements with new clients. Engage in focused networking, proactive outreach, and relationship-building.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, referral partners, and strategic stakeholders. Assist senior managers in strengthening and expanding relationships with current and past clients.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a predictable pipeline of qualified leads using Monday CRM and other tools. Provide regular updates and report sales metrics to leadership. Refine and improve our sales management process, tools, and key metrics.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with senior managers and subject matter experts to craft compelling proposals. Respond to questions and objections, and make effective presentations tailored to each prospect’s needs.
- Negotiation: Work with executive leadership and legal counsel to negotiate agreements with clients and secure new business engagements.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs. Develop effective sales growth strategies that align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Brand Promotion: Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events. Participate in key organizations like SMPS to increase company visibility and credibility. Promote the company’s reputation, core values, and value proposition.
- Onboarding New Engagements: Ensure a smooth transition from contract signature to project kick-off, especially for new clients. Work with the project services team to continually improve the client journey and experience.
- Sales Coaching: Track and enhance the business development mindsets and skills of senior managers and other employees. Foster systematic processes and relationship-focused approaches to business development.
- Communications: Collaborate with marketing and communications resources to support brand outreach and improve messaging, pitches, templates, and other promotional elements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within professional services (legal, accounting, engineering, etc.).
- Proven track record of successfully acquiring new clients and achieving aggressive sales targets.
- Proficiency in using systems, including Monday CRM software and Microsoft Office 365 Suite, preferred.
- Strong understanding of real estate project management services and industry trends preferred.

Hours:
- The position will be full time at-will employment. General work hours will be as needed. Weekend and overtime may be necessary.
Location:
- As the nature of this position will involve inside and outside sales, work may be performed in hybrid locations from home, road and our headquarters office in Laurel, MD. Specific expectations will be established with your supervisor in alignment with annual company and professional objectives. Overnight travel to clients, projects and events throughout the U.S will be required.
