Salary / Hourly Wage : $200 an hour
Our Position : The Medical Director is responsible for the oversight and provisions of psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups, medication and medical management and leadership for the treatment team. The Medical Director is also responsible for performance improvement activities.
Your Responsibilities :
- Provides overall clinical leadership and supervision of all medical / clinical aspects of service delivery.
- Ensures initial psychiatric assessment is completed and provides direct psychiatric services.
- Assures that all enrolled service individuals receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screening and medical / psychiatric evaluation, whenever indicated.
- Communicates complaints and incidents to supervisory personnel as needed.
- Develops differential diagnostic assessments and obtains consent to treatment.
- Prescribes and administers medication.
- Ensures that risk assessments, education, progress towards treatment goals, including medical, psychological, social behavioral (biopsychosocial input) and developmental aspects of the individual's situation are documented by medical providers.
- Consults with primary healthcare providers on the clinical aspects of the individuals being served and the implications for those individual's physical healthcare needs.
- Initiates and / or ensures appropriate response to all medical emergencies.
- Completes clinical documentation as required.
- Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
- Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all RI International policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Performs other related duties assigned.

Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
Work Environment :
May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility. May have contact with individuals who are agitated and / or confused. Work may include travel throughout the geographic region.
