Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Test Engineer with expertise in Mobile Testing, Java coding, and Appium to join our team in Bentonville, AR. As part of Walmart's dynamic technology team, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of mobile applications. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and driving continuous improvements in our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests for mobile applications using Appium.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure quality assurance processes are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform both manual and automated testing on iOS and Android mobile platforms.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts in Java.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and work with developers to resolve them.
- Conduct performance and functional testing to ensure the stability, usability, and performance of mobile applications.
- Continuously enhance the test automation framework to accommodate new features and changes.
- Ensure test coverage by integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in mobile application testing, including both manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency in Appium for mobile test automation.
- Strong programming skills in Java, with the ability to develop and maintain test scripts.
- Experience testing mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and integration of automated tests into pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques for mobile apps.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Walmart's mobile application or working in a large retail environment is a plus.
