The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
Hours would be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
-Helping with appointments
- In-Patient Care
- Anesthesia
-Assisting in procedures such as endoscopy, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, Bone Marrow procedures, Endoscopy foreign body removals and more!
-Create relationships with clients and patients with client communication and patient follow-ups.
-Be a part in helping treat a wide variety of diseases including:
· Diabetes, thyroid, and Cushing’s disease
· Inflammatory bowel disease and pancreatitis
· Leptospirosis, tick-borne diseases (Lyme), viral (FIV), and fungal (aspergillosis)
· UTI & FLUTD
· Asthma and pneumonia
· Immune-mediated diseases, anemia, and platelet disorders
Skills Required:
-ability to closely monitor and treat critically ill patients
-placement of IV catheters
-phlebotomy from various sites
-maintenance and understanding of IV fluid pumps
-advanced experience of disease and treatment processes
-ability to differentiate subtle signs of pain, deterioration, or improvement
-ability to calculate and administer medication and treatments appropriately and safely
- interpersonal skills
-multi-tasking
-experience with anesthesia
-computer literacy (experience with EzyVet is a Plus!!)
* 5 years of anesthesia experience required
