Medical Assistant

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant to join an amazing group of healthcare professionals in our multi-specialty practice with focus on pain management. Put your existing skills to work and learn more as you grow with us.

This position is located in Sewell, NJ.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of documentation required for patient appointments.
• Use of EHR (documenting patient history, vitals, test results, exam findings, plans as instructed by provider).
• Order entry and submission (ePrescribing, labs and imaging studies, interventional procedures, etc.)
• Assist with in-office injections.
• Respond to patient calls and inquiries.
• Respond to pharmacy refill inquiries.
• Any and all other tasks as directed by providers.

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant with minimum 2 years experience; pain management and/or neurology experience a plus.
• Solid working knowledge of EHR systems; Athena knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; musculoskeletal/neuro/psych a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
