Redefine Healthcare is looking for two X-Ray Technicians to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Edison and East Orange facilities. Primary Responsibilities Include:
Ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are ready and available for scheduled procedures.
Ensure equipment is in proper working condition prior to imaging being performed.
Position/reposition equipment throughout procedures and process fluoroscopy images.
Daily C-arm cleaning/general maintenance.
Maintain QA for Radiology Department: daily warm-up and inspection, phantom images, and quarterly QA testing/logs.
Review/distribute/collect radiation monitoring devices of all OR personnel monthly.
Review radiation monitoring reports and distribute monthly to personnel and Administrator.
Investigate any radiation exposures that are out of limits for monthly, quarterly, or yearly time periods.
Perform standard x-ray imaging as ordered in-house by providers.
Other radiology-related tasks may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Proven experience working as an X-ray technician.
- Working knowledge of radiographic equipment.
- Ability to move or lift patients.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to navigate health EHR systems.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- C-Arm Medical Imaging: 2 years (Preferred but willing to train)
- Ability to perform X-rays pertaining to the orthopedic patient population
- Work week consists primarily of Mon-Fri
Licensing
- ARRT Certification (Preferred)
The Day to Day for Fluoroscopy Tech consists of:
1. Use of the OEC 9900 Elite C-arm to provide imaging for pain management and surgical cases (we perform a lot of pain management cases, so, experience and detailed knowledge of Skeletal anatomy would be helpful.)
2. Performing and maintaining the Radiology QA (Day to Day, week to week, and so on!) Communicate with the DON and Administrator maintenance needs and issues regarding the Fluoroscopy equipment.
3. Assisting the OR staff with turnover and preparation of the OR for patient treatment, this includes assisting to restock as needed. (I cannot stress this enough… some Techs just want to stand around or disappear between cases. We need a team player who will assist during the fast-paced day.
4. Communicate with other Redefine Staff to facilitate the proper maintenance of patient records (images) across departments.
5. Other ancillary duties as assigned (there are occasions where we may have a light day or no cases) Those times will be utilized productively.
6. Start time varies between 0630-0730. The day generally ends at 1430-1530. Scheduled days will for the most part be Mon- Fri., the schedule will be adjusted to suit the needs of the Center based on patient scheduling. Meaning: If we do longer days some schedule days, then we will adjust as needed to accommodate.
