Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team at Black Desert Resort. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in analyzing financial data, forecasting, budgeting, and providing insights to support strategic decisions for the resort property and other investments in the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for the resort property and other portfolio investments.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and capital expenditures related to the resort.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads and management to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for the resort property.
- Track financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying and explaining significant variances.
Investment Evaluation:
- Assist in evaluating potential investment opportunities and strategic initiatives within the resort property and the wider portfolio.
- Conduct financial due diligence on potential acquisitions or capital expenditures related to the resort and other assets in the portfolio.
Cash Flow & Capital Management:
- Monitor cash flow management for the resort property, ensuring optimal liquidity to meet operational and investment needs.
- Analyze and recommend financing strategies for capital projects and improvements at the resort.
Operational Support & Strategy:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational improvements, cost savings, and revenue enhancement strategies for the resort property.
- Assist senior management with financial decision-making related to operational strategies and new projects.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Assist in identifying financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure that financial activities related to the resort are in compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A Master's degree (MBA or MSF) is a plus.
- 2 years years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in real estate, hospitality, or investment management.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis using Excel or similar software.
- Knowledge of resort property operations and capital expenditures is a plus
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) and financial reporting tools is a plus.
