What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey CAD Technician position at Regional Land Surveyors, Inc?
Technical Requirements:
A survey CAD Technician employed with RLS must posses good communication skills and be proficient in all aspects of land surveying. A strong understanding of industry standards and mapping requirements is mandatory and experience with numerous types of surveys including but not limited to boundary surveys, topographical surveys, control surveys, ALTA surveys, route and utility surveys and as-built surveys is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with RLS Project Managers to understand project roles and requirements
- Gather project information from field crews and process raw data files for inclusion to project survey database
- Utilize company templates and standards to produce accurate, high quality project deliverables

Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D
- 5 years’ experience in land surveying
- 2 years’ experience with surveying CAD
- Demonstrate self-motivating and organizational skills

Other Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Experience using ArcGIS and other ESRI products
- Terrestrial Lidar data processing with Leica software suite
- Point Cloud modeling
- Pipeline route and as-built survey experience
- Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics or other related field and/or registration as a SIT
