Duties
- Conduct inspections of properties to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Investigate complaints regarding potential code violations related to zoning, building standards, and public health.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings from inspections and investigations.
- Collaborate with other governmental agencies to ensure compliance.
- Issue citations and notices of violation when necessary, providing clear explanations of the required corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, and enforcement actions for regulatory reporting purposes.
- Educate property owners and the public about relevant codes and compliance requirements.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote awareness of code enforcement issues.
Skills
- Zoning Official experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of compliance management practices and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Familiarity with the International property Maintenance Code.
- Proficient in report writing with the ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations.
- Experience with regulatory reporting processes is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with property owners, community members, and local officials.
- Strong analytical skills to assess situations accurately and make informed decisions.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
