What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Technician Supervisor position at Regulated Companies?

Supervises engineering survey technician employees. Responsible for scheduling, preparing bids, Request for Proposals (RFP’s), coordinating survey projects with customers and ensuring superior customer service. Responsible for managing our PCS database. Performs sales and marketing tasks as required. Responsible to work closely with other members of the management team to achieve objectives. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess a working knowledge of cathodic protection and hold a valid National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) CP Level 2 certification; and
  • 5 years of progressive work responsibilities in Cathodic Protection (CP) including at least 2 years of supervisory, customer relations, or project management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • NACE CP Level 3 certification
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license. 
  • Requires moderate travel (25% )
  • May be subject to the company's DOT Substance Abuse Testing Program
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Manages and prepares bid pricing on project specifications and RFP requirements.
  2. Supervises the engineering survey technician team to maximize productivity and teamwork, which includes providing work direction and resources, managing performance, supporting training and development, administering company policies, and leading improvement efforts. 
  3. Creates and coordinates project implementation and schedules with client representatives as well as project managers, crew leaders, and crew personnel.
  4. Coordinates project equipment, operator qualification, and safety requirements.
  5. Ensures survey equipment is functional and meets all calibration requirements.
  6. Performs all other tasks and special projects as assigned.
