Job Title: Toolroom CNC Machinist
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI

Position’s Basic Purpose:
Under the direction of the Tool & Die CNC Cell Lead, the Toolroom CNC Machinist is responsible to plan and perform difficult machine set-ups and operations to produce a wide variety of intricately designed parts. Perform simple die changes, sharpening and prototypes.
Principal Accountabilities:
The company’s headquarters operate in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, with a remote satellite office in Indiana. The Menomonee Falls facility coordinates production for all customers: design and build metal stamping dies, fixtures, jigs and prototypes; CNC machining; Waterjet cutting; and medical cleaning capabilities.

The position requires the ability to lift between 25-50 pounds at various times. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The position encounters a great deal of reading and therefore requires the ability to work with various size printed materials. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Some travel may be required.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Must have developed proficiency in the operation of various machines.
- Support all departments performing complex machine set-ups and operations to produce a wide variety of intricately designed parts with very close tolerances.
- Proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision.
- Work from drawings and specifications.
- Assume responsibility for dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship.
- Knowledge and mastery all tool room machines within recognized limits of standard machining practices, including the Bridgeports, grinders – wet and dry, etc.
- Update all required paperwork and documentation.
- Skilled use with wide variety of precision instruments for metrology.
- Other duties as instructed by project manager(s).
- Effectively work with Toolmakers.
- Assist in development and implementation of procedures and controls to promote efficient lean operations of the organization and ensure the groups follow those procedures and controls.
- Ability to multi-task a few jobs.
- Ensure the completion of all paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Able to work overtime when requested to meet the needs of customer timelines.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Recognize, report, and correct errors.
- Support the company's quality policy, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 5S practices, LEAN and world class manufacturing initiatives.
- Commits to the corporate goals, mission, and vision.
- Regular physical attendance is required.
- Travel, as required.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- High school education or GED.
- Communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Computers, CAD/CAM, Windows.
- Proficient with math and blueprints.
- Knowledge of metallurgy, GD & T, and metrology.
- Prior manufacturing experience in job shop environment.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and understand documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write standard documentation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with managers, vendors, customers, and other employees of the organization, including negotiating and conflict management.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as dimensions, tolerances, proportions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Prior experience working with automotive, aerospace and medical industries.
- Prior machining experience.
- Independent thinker to make creative parts/vices’ to make job easier, faster and precise.
- Build a quality tool in a timely manner.
