The Director – Restructuring, Private Debt & Equity position serves a key role in the portfolio monitoring and workout role for private debt & equity investments. Responsibilities may include preparing approval memos, completing financial models and presenting transactions to the investment committee.

$120,375.00 - $179,365.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. The Director – Restructuring, Private Debt & Equity position serves a key role in the portfolio monitoring and workout role for private debt & equity investments. Responsibilities may include preparing approval memos, completing financial models and presenting transactions to the investment committee.
Responsibilities
- Assumes a significant role in managing the amendment/workout process for existing investments including scenario analysis, legal documentation, and recovery analysis
- Responsible for completion of workout approval memos and financial models, and leads presentation of the investment recommendation to investment committee
- Conducts and directs portfolio monitoring, amendment, and restructuring activities including analysis and reports for assigned investments
- Implements and is responsible for production of research projects to assist in formulation of strategic decisions
- Develops knowledge of and helps to better utilize new systems and tools to support investment process
- Develops relationships with new and existing general partners and with portfolio company senior management
- Responsible for ensuring a smooth funding process and ongoing data implementation; resolves any trade operations issues
- Develops junior team members through mentoring, coaching and training
Education and Experience
Required
- MBA graduate and 5-10 years relevant work experience or Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance related field with 7 years relevant work experience
- 5-10 years corporate lending experience with a commercial bank
- 5-10 years alternative investment experience
- 5-10 years audit or accounting experience with a CPA firm
- 5-10 years investment banking, private equity or private credit experience
- 5-10 years corporate credit experience with an insurance company or other asset manager
- Masters, ASA, FSA, or CAIA
- CFA or significant progress towards
- Highly advanced understanding of amendment, workout and restructuring processes
- Highly advanced knowledge of the private debt and equity investments
- Highly advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Highly advanced presentation skills to advance investment decisions and strategy discussions
- Highly advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
- Investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously
- Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects
- Strong customer relationship management
- Highly advanced negotiation skills to assist with internal/external discussions
- Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
- Ability to train and manage junior team members
