Summary / General Job Description:
Sign On Bonus of $350 after 90 Days
Applicant will be engaged in several the installation and fabrication of aluminum storefront windows, doors, hardware, and curtain walls. Pay range is $18 an hour to $25 an hour. Applicant needs to be a fast learner and flexible.
Essential Duties and Qualifications:
· Must be able to pass a Drug Test
· High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
· Must have clean driving record
· Must pass a background check for Government Work - No Felonies
· Steel-toe boots required
· Carpentry or window installation experience a plus
· Must have basic math skills and be able to read a standard ruler
· Must have excellent attendance as you will be working on a crew
· Must be able to lift 70 lbs. and work on your feet. This job is as much about labor as it is skill.
· Have prior experience with hand tools
· Ability to learn how to read and interpret written information, instructions, manuals, and blueprints.
· Self-motivated with the ability and desire to work independently or with others as needed.
· MUST stay off cell phone unless on break or lunch
· Always maintain work areas in clean and safe conditions
Job Details and Functions:
· You will be trained in the Glazing trade where the following job functions are commonplace:
o Remove broken glass prior to installing replacement glass
o Cut, fit, install, glass substitutes such as plastic and aluminum, in building interiors and exterior
o Layout, assemble, and install aluminum storefront systems and curtain wall systems
o Determine plumb of walls or ceilings using plumb-lines and levels
o Complete all installations to fit and finish as dictated by industry standards
· This job does require travel, overnight stays, and weekends as needed.
o Typical hours are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Monday - Friday.
o Candidates must be able to stay later if job requires.
o Some Travel will be required and compensated appropriately.
